Suzanne Ehlers, Vice President for International Advocacy

 

Suzanne Ehlers has more than 13 years of experience in areas of reproductive health, environmental, and international policymaking for private foundations and non-profit groups. Immediately prior to joining PAI in late 2003, Suzanne was working as an independent strategic consultant for a variety of clients, including The HKH Foundation, the World Resources Institute, the Better Way Project (of the Tides Center), and the Iraq Peace Fund. Before that, she spent five years at the Wallace Global Fund, a DC-based private foundation, where she helped manage the Fund's portfolios in climate change, sustainable forestry, and international financial instituion reform.

Suzanne sits on the board of the Janelia Family Foundation. She is also a returned Peace Corps volunteer, having served in the Central Africa Republic 1995/1996 as a sustainable agriculture extension agent. Suzanne is proficient in French and Sango. She received her BA in Government/ International Relations from Cornell University. Suzanne is a native Texan, but currently resides in Washington, DC, with her husband and daughter.
