Reproductive Health Supplies Project Holds Its First Advocacy Meeting in Uganda

The project team traveled to Kampala, Uganda on April 24-25 to host “Linking Civil Society Networks in Knowledge and Action”—a meeting designed to bring together civil society networks, project subgrantees, partners and representatives from UNFPA  and other technical agencies to exchange their experiences in advocacy for reproductive health supplies.

PAI's Rosemarie Muganda-Onyando Presents at Conference in Abuja, Nigeria

PAI consultant Rosemarie Muganda-Onyando traveled to Abuja, Nigeria last month to attend a conference organized by the African Public Health and Rights Alliance (APHRA) entitled, “Pan-African Civil Society – Health Development & Financing – Strategy Development Conference.” Her presentation focused on the need for civil society organizations to understand local, regional and international processes involved in health care financing in order to be more effective at advocacy.

PAI Participates in a Workshop on Population, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Climate Change

Karen Hardee, Vice President for Research and Carolyn Vogel, Vice President of Programs participated in a workshop SRHR-Population-Environmental Degradation-Climate Change hosted by the European Parliamentary Forum and supported by the Countdown 2015 project held in Istanbul, Turkey 15-16 May, 2008. The workshop brought together 32 experts from the reproductive health and development communities from EU member states, USA and African countries for two days of lively discussion and presentations on this critical emerging issue.
